What We Believe

We are a full gospel church in that we believe:-

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, that it is inerrant and infallible, the supreme and ultimate authority in all matters of faith and conduct, understood only through the illumination and teaching of the Holy Spirit.

Interpretation

We believe in the literal interpretation of the Holy Scriptures, being mindful that a scripture contains much symbolism and metaphoric language.

The Godhead

We believe that the Godhead exists co-equally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that these three are one God, sovereign in creation, providence and redemption.

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the true and proper deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His substitutionary and atoning sacrifice through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His heavenly intercession, in His personal pre-millennial and pre-tribulation return to receive His church and to establish His millennial kingdom.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit's work is to convince the world of sin, righteousness and judge, to teach, to guide into all truth, to bring the word of Christ to remembrance, to glorify Christ, to show things to come, to produce fruit in the life of the believers, to equip believers for effective service and ministry.

Mankind

We believe in the total depravity of fallen nature, rendering men subject to the wrath of God.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is available to all, that it includs justification, sanctification and glorification, that repentance for sin and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are essential to salvation, that the repentant sinner is thus justified by faith alone, that this is evidenced in holy living.

The Church

We believe in the unity and priesthood of all true believers in Christ. The concept of body ministry; and the manifestation of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit as declared in 1 Corinthians 12.

Baptism

We believe that baptism is for all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and that it is by full immersion in water as practiced by the early church. That babies and young people before the accepted and legal age of reasoning may be dedicated and blessed by the church.

Baptism In The Holy Spirit

As a full gospel church, we believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit (Acts chapter 2v4).

The Commission

We believe that the commission of the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers is 'Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature' - 'Teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost' - teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.'

The Coming King

That is will be in two stages:-

1. We believe the first stage will be in the personal, pre-millennial, pre-tribulation return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His church. That the completed Church (The Bride of Christ) will be translated to meet the Lord in the air to be 'forever with the Lord'. That the signs of the time point exclusively toward the close of 'the times of the Gentiles' (Luke 21:24).
2. In the second stage, following the "rapture" of the Church, that Christ, the Messiah, will physically return to earth, that the nation of Israel will be restored to her own land in unbelief and will be afterwards converted as she repents, having recognised Christ as Messiah, (Zechariah 12:8-10 NKJV), that the Lord Jesus Christ will reign for a thousand years (Revelations 20:6 NKJV) upon the earth during which time there will be a further outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon all flesh, that the message of the imminent return of Christ is the greatest motivation to prayer, holiness of life and evangelism.
